I have a windows 2003 server which runs a windows 2000 SQL database which has around 5 users logging  into it at any one.

The server is a Dell Poweredge 2950 dual xeon 3GHz processor and 4Gb of memory.

I would like to know if it would be safe to make this server a Domain Controller?

thanks for any help given.

Ideally NOT, SQL is quite resource hungry.

Having said that if you only have 5 users and they are not running tasks that are too demanding you should be OK.

Thanks for that one thing I forgot to mention is that we only have 25 users in the domain so it's not really or that big.
