Has anyone installed/used a Presstopia blog?  I would just like to get an opinion on the quality of the blog.  I've installed dasBlog for a couple of my clients and I'm not terribly impressed with it.  I'm wondering if Presstopia is a better solution, or if the quality is about the same.

The best .NET based blogging software out there has to be Community Server. It is actually a complete content management system with image galleries, blogs, forums, etc but you can use any or all modules to your liking. It is super-stable and is so respected that Microsoft even uses it for all of their own blogging needs.

The official Xbox forums are built on Community Server, and Larry Hryb of Microsoft Xbox's go-to guy uses CS on his website as strictly a blogging tool like you mention. http://www.majornelson.com

A free alternative is also DNN (DotNetNuke) which is much like community server but open source. I have found that when looking for .NET based blog software it is pretty slim pickens. DNN and CS are the only two that I've found and liked. They are super-stable, easy to set up, have great community support and are sleek looking... while the ones you mention are much more scaled down and don't have nearly as strong of a support community.

Community Server is easy to set up and is free for personal or non-profit use, their licensing fees vary and you get extra forums, more galleries, blogs etc. with the various licenses. DotNetNuke is free and they have some support and licensing options if needed, but most people have no problems using just the free versions of both packages.

I've tried just about every .NET blogging tool out there and these are the only two I'd recommend. Unfortunately the .NET crowd has fallen far behind the PHP based applications out there in the blogging and content management world. If you aren't stuck on using just .NET blogging tools I would recommend Movable Type, it is probably the best blogging solution I've ever used or set up.
