what I did was installed the outlook and then it downloaded the thing was messed up so deleted the profile and resintsalled this was on teh new laptop now all his folders and everything has mail but his inbox is gone what do I do please help

It sounds as though you had a data file configured to deliver mail to, instead of delivering mail to the Exchange server mailbox itself. If you have deleted the profile from the laptop, then it was likely that the mail was stored in a PST within the profile, so you would have lost it. (Have a look in the recycle bin though on the laptop)<br />

If you have a good backup then you could restore it to a recovery storage group and recover at least most of the mail from there. <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824126" rel="ugc nofollow">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824126</a><br />

If you don't have a backup then there isn't very much you can do I'm afraid.
