Windows Server 2k3 licences

Do you need CALs just for a file server on 2k3?

Yes a CAL is still required to access the Windows 2003 Server.

If you buy a Windows storage system or built in StorageWork (Proliant with pre-built windows system) it is CAL free, but other windows 2003 versions, one CAL are needed for each client
