CPU / Memory load generator

I am looking for an easy method to generate a work load on a server. I need the ability to vary the work load being applied to simulate different environments.

I am looking for something very simple and easy to adjust.

Any Ideas?

PassMark is kinda the standard for burn-in software.  You can try it out for 30days free.
