In "privileges, how to block access to a record (or records) after X days.

I am setting up user priveleges in a FMP Database that allows the user to create new records and have full access to the new record except "delete:" However, the intention is that after "X" days, the record becomes "read only" to all except the Admin account.

I have tried the following formula with no success:

order date <= get (current date) - 5

This does not restrict the records to read only after five days - or have any other effect.
Can anyone out there help me with a workable formula/calsulation?
