I'm trying to run Perl scripts (as CGI scripts) in Tomcat 6.0 for Windows XP (MSI installation). However, it seems that if I try to configure Tomcat 6.0 to run Perl, Tomcat just stopped serving any pages at all. According to Tomcat manual:

it says the CGI servlet and servlet mapping in web.xml has to be uncommented, which I did. However, once I do that and restart Tomcat, it doesn't function anymore. Does anyone know how to configure Tomcat 6.0 to run Perl and also functional normally? Thanks in advance.

you also have to rename servlets-cgi.renametojar to servlets-cgi.jar

"To use the CGI servlet, you also need to rename the
$CATALINA_HOME/server/lib/servlets-cgi.renametojar file
to $CATALINA_HOME/server/lib/servlets-cgi.jar"

according to the following site, people may be having problems finding that jar file in 6.0 (http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5194286&messageID=9764421)
