i am confused over some issues in VSS.

we have a .bas module that has common routines used by several programs.

we have this module saved in VSS in a folder by itself.

when i try and add this module to a new program to get access to the functions in it  i get

failed to add file 'c:\Common_objects\Common_modules\myMod.bas' to source code control.  A file with that name already exists under source code control.  Save your file with a different name if you do not want it to be overwritten the next time you get the project.

the goal is to have one module being used by several programs.   is this a normal message? and do i need to do anything special.   i dont want to have several versions of the module out and about.
