thanks. I will look over all the documenation. Now when you mention know the ip when connected to the network...you mean after it picks one up from dhcp?

Need help please. <br />
A Dell AX150i/AX140sci was dropped on my lap. I never used a san before yet alone configure one. <br />
I assumed it was just like a nas but I don't see any serial &nbsp;ports on it. I guess it is totally different. <br />
How do I get into it to set the tcp/ip configs? &nbsp;I also plan on managing it from a Dell Power Edge 2970 with Windows Server 2003. &nbsp;Step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks<br />

Need help please. 
A Dell AX150i/AX140sci was dropped on my lap. I never used a san before yet alone configure one. 
I assumed it was just like a nas but I don't see any serial  ports on it. I guess it is totally different.

Cloud services and other new forms of remote storage also add to the capacity of devices and their ability to access more data without building additional data storage into a device.

Storage

Servers are computing devices that are similar to desktop computers in that they have the same basic components, but are significantly different in size, configuration and purpose. Servers are usually accessed over a network, and many run unattended, without a computer monitor, input device, audio hardware or USB interfaces.
