How to change Outlook 2003 format from paragraph to normal

When sending out e-mails  in Outlook 2003 the formatting is always set on paragraph instead of normal. This means that when I hit enter, it is double spaced. Is there something I can do to change this?

If you are using the Word Editor and do not need it for specific features, turn it off. In most cases the Word editor is overkill. You can easily accomplish most things using HTML e-mail.

Click on the Tools menu, the Options item, and then click on the Mail Format tab. Remove the check boxes for Word Editor.

The default setting is paragraph if a staionery is set (tools, options, mail format), set stationery to none (not blank) to change to default to normal.
