SQL SERVER lock time out

I am trying to see the current activity on the sql server database but i keep getting the error 1222: Lock request time out period exceeded. Any one with an idea how to fix this problem? TIA...

hi,

if you run:
select @@LOCK_TIMEOUT

you are likely to get -1 meaning that locks for not timeout

thus have a look at this article:
