Examples on what ? Can you please be more specific on what is your problem ?

Creating a job is just as easy as it was in SQL 2000. Using the SSMS, open the Agent folder, right click on 'Jobs' and select 'New ...'. I'm pretty sure that is not what you are looking for ...

What type of jobs ? Jobs that will fire up a DTS will not work (or at least it's a pain) under SQL 2005.
Other jobs, lets say which only run a SQL statement should work ...

For the record, on which SP are you ? SP2 changed a lot in the job structure for SQL 2005 ...

When you script out the jobs for SQL 2000, and run that script on the SQL 2005 machine, does that return any errors ?

Hope this helps ...

... or is it a permission issue ?
Any extra info on errors you encounter is welcome !
