Broken image and Captcha php script

Hello:

This is driving me nuts.  I am using a Captcha security script that inserts the following code:

<img src="CaptchaSecurityImages.php" />

However, it keeps returning the broken image box where the actual image should be. This used to work.  I tried every conceivable image path.

Can anyone help?  Other images display perfectly i.e. <img src="sub_image.jpg" width="546" height="40" />

Thanks!

Turns out that GD 2.0 for PHP wasn't installed. Installing it solved the problem!
