Anybody recommend a good sound card to use with Windows Server 2003?

Hi,

Does anybody out there recommend a good sound card that works well with Windows Server 2003?  I need a good basic sound card for a Proliant ML330 G3 server tower running Windows Small Business Server 2003.  I'd like to hear if anybody is using a particular sound card out there right now preferrably one that is not a pain to install & find drivers for Server 2003.

Thanks,
Mike

Why?  Generally Servers don't have sound cards because they shouldn't be used as workstations.

Hi,

Thanks for the links.  That is very helpful.

The soundcard isn't for entertainment purposes.  I am needing a soundcard for my business server because I am running my voice mail system on my server.  The software requires the use of a good Data/Fax/Voice Modem & Sound Card for the audio playback device.

Thanks,
Well, I'd be careful about putting such a system on an SBS as it may take more resources than the SBS has available.  Usually, I've seen that voice mail systems will push out the message to Outlook which then uses the sound card on the local workstation instead.  This is really a much better method of deploying voice mail anyhow.

Does the vendor or manufacturer have any recommendations as to the best equipment to work with their product(s)?
