KVM over IP for SUN E3500, E3000.

Dear All,

i have a situation in which i want SUN E3500, E3000 servers to access (manage) remotely & planned to use IP based KVM.

--------- at this time i have "4x1x16 HP IP console Switch".

but the actual problem is that how to connect these servers with KVM cuz KVM cables have standard VGA port connector and SUN E3500 & E3000 have 13W3 VGA connector.

--------- so I did some R&D on it and found a converter on internet

but i m not gonna buy it until i m sure that it works....

and now begins the actual problem

NOW it looks simple that i put KVM VGA port into this connector back side and other side to SUN VGA port.

BUT I m not sure about resolution of VGA cuz SUN has high resolution monitors - is it possible to see same view on normal standard monitors.

So any one have any ideas related to this ~ are welcome. if u have any other KVM over IP device for SUN servers so please advice or if you are sure about my work that it will work - so give your ideas

I hate to say it but your best bet is probably to just try it. I have used the adapters in the past with mixed results due to the fact that 13W3 was used by different vendors with different pinouts (Sun, SGI, IBM). If you get a "13W3 Sun" adapter it should work as long as the monitor on the KVM supports the resolution and frequency that the graphics card is putting out.

you are saying like my BOSS, he told me to just test that product and then use it - but he just dont wanna buy it until i m sure that it works. so how to test and how to use it.....

any how you are true ... let me see for more .....
