Unable to Install Exchange 2003

I need to upgrade my Exchange. The plan is build a new Exchange Server, then move all mailboxes.
In the process of iinstalling the new Exchange 2003 server, it freezed in the middle of the installed
This is what showed in the application log. Thanks for the help in advanced.

Is your new server connected to the network and a member of your Domain ?

First I would verify that DNS is working properly, contains all of the needed records for your Domain Controllers (nslookup.exe in interactive mode - "ls -t SRV %dcname-FQDN%" will return all Server Resource Records that AD uses).  If DNS is clean, then I would look at the Windows Firewall to ensure it's not blocking any ports, and you can also run netstat -a on the Domian Controllers to verify that they're listening on all necessary ports.

If the networking and name resolution are all working properly, I would then look at the permissions for the Account(s) that the Exchange Services are running under.  If they're setup to use the local system account or any account that does not have sufficient permissions you will see failures like this.

I spent 6 hours on the phone with Microsoft support, finally got a successful install.
We had issues with our Active Directory, even though all dcdiag and netdiag did NOT reports errors.
For some strange reasons, domain admin account did not have full rights to Exchange Server Admins group. Also had to run domainprep prior to install Exchange.
