File download security setting automatically disables
Within my organization, all the users are low privileged i.e. they do not have the administrative right to install/unistall anything. Everytime, the "File download" automatically disables and then we have to go in and enable it manually under security settings. This happens quite frequently i.e. it disables automatically. I checked various sites but could not find a solution. Is there anything which can be done to prevent this from happening.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, the workstations ans users are memebers of an Active Directory domain
Then you can implement the setting in a group policy. No need to manually change it then.
You can find it either under computer or user configuration, depending if you want to implement this at machine or user level / OU. Then Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Internet Explorer / Security Features / Restrict File Download.

I went in there (under REstrict File Download). It has 3 Settings:
Internet Explorer Processes
Process List
All Processes
Should I enable all 3? Please advise

Currently all the three settings are "not configured". So there is no policy to block or unblock files. I checked at the domain level, user level and also workstation level.
OK, now enable the correct setting on one of your group polices and see if the erratic behaviour stops.

So, should I disable "Internet Explorer Processes", "Process List" and "All Processes"?
