Watchguard Edge X 10e Firewall E-mail problem

Just got this firewall in the other day and hooked it up.

Their Manuals and documentation is worthless ... Their tech support appears to be equally worthless.

Anyway.  I've got a Watchguard Edge X10e Firewall (Firmware V. 8.2.1) .  As long as I don't enable anything, I'm fine ...  As soon as I enable GAV (G? Anti-virus) and IPS (Intruder prevention service) it also enables the HTTP Proxy, the FTP Proxy and the POP3 Proxy.  At this point I can no longer receive e-mail through outlook express (POP3 or HTTP mail clients) and can not view yahoo e-mails online.  Webblocker and spamblocker are turned off.

What setting do I need to change so that I can use the IPS and GAV and still be able to receive e-mail?

In the configuration page of Edge, go to Firewall > Outgoing; under common proxy policies set the filter to no rule if you wish to turn off the firewall.

Please read the article below on the WG website [you would need login on WG website to access the article]:
http://www.watchguard.com/support/faqs/edge/edge86/edge_proxies_ftp.htm

Please note by disabling HTTP proxy and POP3 proxy you would be able to get the incoming emails; you can then further go to GAV/IPS > Settings and configure Intrusion Prevention Service [and might want to enable back proxies]; please note in security terms you would not get the most secure solution but currently Edge does not give you the granularity to configure proxy service to determine what you want to allow and what you want to block.

Thank you.

OK, thanks for the information.  Not the answer I wanted, but it's what I expected.
