Outlook Calendar creating recurring appointments when accepting a single appointment

On a Vista with Office 2007 connected to a domain whenever I get a meeting request and I accept it. The calendar then gets the meeting request to be a recurring meeting that happens weekly. Has anybody seen this happen and what is the cause?
