ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit TabContainer/TabPanel not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer

I am using the TabContainer and TabPanel AJAX Toolkit for ASP.NET 2.0 in Visual Studio. The page looks fine in Firefox, but it is not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer. The tabs are not fully rendered in Internet Explorer. (Both 6.0 and 7.0) The bottom part of the header text for each tab is cut off. I know this works in IE because the example listed on the AJAX Toolkit on the ASP.NET page is working fine in IE. ( http://www.asp.net/AJAX/AjaxControlToolkit/Samples/Tabs/Tabs.aspx )

Can someone please tell me how to get this to work properly with Internet Explorer?

Mostly Absolute positioning of controls in IE acts wierd. Are you using absolute positioning?

Probably not much help, but I just tried your code and worked fine for me (ie7).

Did you show us all the code?

ok, i added doctype. that fixed one problem but created another. now the header text on the tabs don't have any spacing so that you can see the bottom of "g" and "p" and so forth. it looks correct in firefox. this is the new page in IE: http://www.hurldesigns.com/tabie2.jpg

Look at the "p" and "g" in Alpha Listing tab

Is this ie6 or 7?  Because looks fine for me in ie7 and firefox

ok, i didn't take my site header file off. i must have a style that's making it do this. but the doctype was the key. i just gotta find that style. thanks!

Hey I realize this post is getting old but i'm having the exact same issue, tabs are displaying properly in Firefox and chrome but not in IE. Site is on .net 4 with the newest AJAX control toolkit.

 I have <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> in my masterpage.

I am also using the scriptmanager, <asp:ToolkitScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" />

Been working on this for a few hours already and would really appreciate any ideas.
