Hi

when i have deployed my struts application onto tomcat running on my Mac OS X Server when i try to login i get the following error.

Oct 5, 2007 9:42:31 AM org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryObjectFactory addInstance
INFO: Not binding factory to JNDI, no JNDI name configured
Initial SessionFactory creation failed.java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/transaction/Synchronization

Thi is when calling the 1st method that uses the DB, i think it has something to do with the setup of the server in that i think it needs j2ee but can not seem to fina a download for mac os x.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure jta.jar is on the classpath of the server (in the lib directory) or of the struts application (packaged).

hi when you say the classpath do you mean

/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home/lib

thanks

It should be the lib directory of the tomcat server.
