I need to batch transfer a cd of pdf exam paper files onto a website.

I have a cd with 590 pdf files of past exam papers, and I need to give the students access from campus and from home. I was wondering if there was some way of using a batch process in dreamweaver. I will have to run this process once a year. I dont really have any IT backup or server technolgoies to use, and I want it to be  a very simple process. I used web photo album in dreameaver and it was great, so I just need something like that for files. I know I can use mediamax or an online storage company, but I would like to host them on our own server. They also have to be password protected.
thanks

i.g. you don't need any scripting language for that, just copy the .pdf files to a directory and then configure your web server to password-protect that directory (using .htaccess or whatever)

You can FTP to copy the files to the server - just select them all and 'PUT' them to the server's directory.  Or, give the disc to the IT people and get them to do it for you ;-)

The simplest way to allow people to 'see' the files is to enable directory browsing for that directory on the server.  The server will then just list all the files in one list, with each file name being a clickable hyperlink.  Again, the IT crowd might have to do this for you depending on your level of access.
