QuickBooksPro2007 taking forever to load

I've been using QuickBooks for years.  Recently I upgraded to QuickBooksPro2007, and it takes FOREVER to load.  Whereas my old QB used to load in, say, 10 seconds at the most, QBP2007 takes at least 30-40 seconds, sometimes longer.  Nothing has changed on my computer.

Anybody know of a workaround for this, like maybe a quick-start TSR for this particular program?

I know this might sound trivial, but when you're in a hurry a minute seems like an eternity.

I noticed that the minimum memory requirement for Quickbooks 2007 has increased from 128MB (2006 version) to 256 MB.  You might need to add memory on your computer.

I have 2 gigs of RAM...I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem...but thanks for the suggestion!

That last thing I could think of without blaming a bloated Quickbooks software, would be hard drive defragmentation.

I've looked around the internet, and it looks like a lot of people are having the same issue as you are.

I cannot reproduce your problem from my side, but I hope someone else in this site can help you.

Defragged and didn't solve the problem, but that was the closer solution of the two.
