Type mismatch in Expression error

I rredesigned my database so that a individual can have multiple awards instead of entering a award in every single instance.  Folowing are my datafields of the two tables.  I have the relationship as a one to many relationship from soldier ID to Soldier ID.    Here are the fields.
Employee fields
Soldier Id      LNAME      FNAME      Rank      Command      Unit      Position Title      GradeType GradeLevel

Awards Given Fields
Award Id      Soldier ID      DateReceived      DateApproved      DatetoTag      DatetoAcc TypeofAward      Dollaraward      Hours      GradeStep      FYAward      StategicObjective   Notes

    Please post details regarding what actions trigger this error, when you are receiving it, and any relevant VBA or SQL.

    ok, i fixed the error by changing the datafields in the soldier Id field to number instead of text in the awards given table.
