asked on

passworded document and settings folder

i need to access a user passworded users documents and settings from another machine, were the hard disk is about to fail, the OS on the user drive is Windows XP HOME SP2 and my workshop system is Windows XP PROFESSIONAL SP2, I have hooked up the HDD to it, I know if is a feature under options/file options etc to allow access and then to take ownership of the diretories and files through permissions. What is the commonly used solution i am sure it is something to do with use simply file sharing under folder options,  thanks in advance

Boot off of a BartPE  disk  it ignores  NTFS permissions and will give you access to the files assuming they are not encrypted by a third party application.
