Server 2000  error - ASP.NET -- perf.dll failed.

I keep getting the following error on a server . . . does anyone have any idea what is wrong and how to fix. Please respond quickly as it is a crucial server in our organization;

The Open Procedure for service "ASP.NET_2.0.50727" in DLL "C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_perf.dll" failed.  Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code  returned is data DWORD 0.

    Accepted Solution

    Try the following:

    Event ID 1008 in Application Log

    aspnet_perf.dll cannot register

    Automated cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework 2.0

    I recommend you uninstall the framework and install it again.
