I have recently inherited a Citrix 4.5 farm.  I understand that you can have the homepage to prompt for download of ica client.  However, I have not found any documentation on this.  Please assist.

    Accepted Solution

best place to start is the Administrator's guide for Web Interface 4.5

Client Deployment starts on page 93

i'd recommend reading the admin guide for PS 4.5 also... as well as the advanced concepts guide.  Citrix has done a nice job of putting these together.

here's a listing of all admin guides for citirx products:

I suppose I have the package wrong or didn't set it up right.  I have ica32pkg.msi and ica32web.msi in the
\\servername\c$\\Program Files\Citrix\Web Interface\4.5\Clients folder.  I have the site set to trusted on ie 6.0.  I have native client installed.  However, Java might be better since usrs are on high latency connections.  I am receiving the error below

The Citrix Presentation Server Client for 32-bit Windows could not be deployed automatically. Please contact your administrator. Log ID: 3b90b2a5
