How Can I know the CPU model from the running windows Operating System ??

Hi

How Can I know the CPU model from the running windows Operating System without open the system case and go to the CPU physically??

In windows XP or windows 2003 server If I will go to (Start-> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information) and try to search for CPU information unfortunately you will not find the CPU Module  

And you can see in this URL

Intel provide a list of CPUs , I need to know witch CPU in my machine :(

Like :  Q6700 , T7700 or T7500 , and so on

The simple answer in Windows is to do 'start', 'run', and type in 'dxdiag'.

I think it's the third tab over that gives you the information you're wanting.

lol can't see the trees for the forest, good call Bibliophage spot on my man.
it's on the main page system page, 3rd tab is just display.
I use dxdiag quite often but mainly for video cards and audio doagnostics hadn't occured to me to use it  as an easy access to system information specs.
