printer driver problem

When printing with watermark or embeded picture puts vertical black lines on right of page in line with text and picture. driver file ZIMFDRV.DLL HP's latest. Another system XP Pro same printer (Laserjet 1020), driver file IMFNT5.DLL (older driver) prints fine. How do I completely remove the new driver so I can reinstall the original one from CD?. I have tried new driver in printer properties but this does not work. I have tried deleting the Dll files but when redetecting the 1020 it wants the ZIMFDRV.DLL file.

I would also go through the following....

Totally remove the driver, once you deleted the printer. Then go to Printers and faxes>File>Server Properties>Drivers, and delete whats there. Then reinstall from scratch with fresh drivers.....

Once the printer is deleted, go to start<>run>cmd

    net stop spooler
    net start spooler

That should free up the drivers to delete them.....
