    There are several ways to connect them.Use a router or a crossover cable, or thru network (with file sharing).

    if you want the mboth on the internet as well then use a router.
    then run the "home network wizard" on both computers - start/control panel/network home wizard
    follow the instructions and keep the information the same on each computer.

    each PC will then have a share folder area that each other PC can also see
