This application failed to start because CSRSRV.dll was not found.

A network computer has suddenly refused to boot up windows XP. Just before you get to the 'welcome' sequence, the system fails and it displays the following message:

"STOP:c0000135 {unable to locate component} This application failed to start because CSRSRV.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

I have downloaded the DLL but cannot find anyway to get it loaded. Cannot get to Safe Mode, Command Prompt, Have tried Last known Configuration and every other option from F8 but it keeps going to the BSOD.

From research on Internet it seems a vey common problem but no solutions to fix it.

Thanks
Neil

Boot it with a miniPE or ultimate boot CD and copy the dll to System32.
