Connect to a Switch intel 510 trough console cable

I can't connect to a SWITCH Intel 510T throght the console cable, How can I connect?.
I tried:
but don't run.
I don't know the IP of the switch

    From the PDF here. It also has other connection options.

    5 -  Access Local Management

    " Connect your PC directly to the Console
    port using the included null modem cable.
    " Set a VT100-compatible terminal emulation
    program (such as HyperTerminal*) to these
    - 9600 baud - 8 data bits
    - No parity - 1 stop bit
    - No flow control
    Press Enter to display Local Management.

    Make sure you have the correct cable.
