How to change 2 instance RAC database in to single instance.

We at Disaster recovery site are having RAC on on AIX. Currently we are having two instance physical standby databases.
Now we need to change the 2 instance setup into single instance environment how should I proceed.

    Accepted Solution


    Stop all services.
    Create pfile from spfile.
    Shutdown database.
    remove "*.cluster_database_instances" and set "*.cluster_database=FALSE" in the init{SID}.ora file.
    startup pfile=init{SID}.ora
    and done.
