Does anyone know of a HP 5940 server 2003 driver?

Does anyone know of a HP 5940 server 2003 driver? I cant find one anywhere and i need it for terminal services so people can print remotely. Please can someone advise. I was just going to use the XP one but it is a full software download and all i want is to add the driver to the list on the server.

The HP compatability list says to use the v 60.051.645 (XP) driver.

Hi great ok. I can only find the full package eg 51 MB. I need to fo into printer properties on the server and just add the driver. Does anyone know where i can get this?

You'll most likely have to download the full package and extract them. I believe the first step of the install is to unpack the package to a temporary location. You should be able to stop the install once it does that, and pull the drivers from the temp folder.

Hi somehow i managed to get it to work and i dont have a clue how. There is no feature to unzip them to a temp folder it ios just an exe file. Where do you find this compatibility list from HP. Reason i ask is i have another HP 1510. It would be easier if i just lookup myself instead of constantly posting.  thx

And yes, I know it's the HP Terminal Server and Citrix compatible printer driver list. :-) It also works for Server 2003 and Terminal Server.

Hi everyone

The first thing I look for is the printer's emulation.  If, like the HP Deskjet 5940 it is PCL3, I use the bog-standard HP550C driver, which is fine for mainly text work.  If it is PCL5 or 6 then the HP Laserjet III or 4 is a fairly good bet, adding on "D" or "Si" depending on the features of the printer such as multiple paper trays.  For Epson ESC/P then the 24-pin LQ, SQ or Stylus Colour 600 often works well.
