I have a project in VS 2005 using VB .net. I would like to login to the FTP server once but keep the connection alive while I upload multiple files from different folder meaning I will be executing the upload function multiple times while the ftp connection is alive. Do you a funtion or some code to do this?

most servers are smart enough to keep the command channel open while a data transfer is in progress.  if not then you can send a NOOP command to the command channel periodically during transfer to prevent the server from disconnecting the client due to inactivity.
