Outlook 2003 mapipdl

OS: XP SP2
Program: Outlook 2003
Enviroment: Single user, no exchange server, one email profile setup using POP
Issue: One of the Groups is not sending, while all of the member E-Mail type's are SMTP the Group they are assoiated with is Identified as MAPIPDL in the E-Mail type field of the address book, no one in this Group is getting E-Mail. Email sent to individual's is working fine. I also created a test group which also is listed as MAPIPDL, while the email seems to send none of the target reciepients are recieving it.

Greetings Afair1Tech !

Check if the group name is the problem. Change the group name to GROUP1 and test if individuals are receiving the emails.  If using yourself, use one of your other email addresses, and not the same one you are sending from.

Hope this helps, war1

Hi, the above solution didn't help me but I figured it out myself by try and error. I did Google search and found no one has given this solution yet so I would like to post mine: Try right click the Distribution List name in the Outlook address book and select "Properties". When the Disribution List Property screen opens, there is an "Update Now" button at upper right cornor. When you click on that button, it seems that the links of all the members in the Distribution List to the entries in "Contacts" are verified. Mine was because one or two members in the list were not verifiable. Once I updaed these failed members, the whole list started working - even it is still the MAPIPDL mail type.
