Wireless Radio

I have a Dell Inspiron 600m and it does not have a wireless switch on the computer.  When i open the view network connections it says my wireless is not connected.  Any questions about how to turn on my radio within the computer?

There is a blue button on the keyboard that looks like a radio tower (on one of the Fn keys on top).  You can toggle the wireless on and off by pressing FN near the lower left and that key I mentioned at the same time. It toggles the wireless on and off.

Alternatively, if it is an Intel wireless card, I believe you can do that in the software utility. I've created a shortcut to that program on my desktop (on my laptop).

Use Keyboard: You can use Fn + F2 to turn on and off radio.
Use Intel/Pro Wireless: right click and select enable radio (lower right corner).

i saw that F2 function button but when i hit the function button and the wireless button it does not do anything.  And also it is an intel wireless card and when i open the intel program and switch the radio on it says that it could not becuase you need to turn it on through something else.

Nothing ever in the clear!

This technical paper will help you implement VMware’s VM encryption as well as implement Veeam encryption which together will achieve the nothing ever in the clear goal. If a bad guy steals VMs, backups or traffic they get nothing.

Read the manual in the link:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins600m/en/sm/index.htm

Then remove and reseat the wireless card.

Try and post back.

Larson15,

It is not taking parts, it is simple open the cover and reseat the card, and anyone could do that easy. But if you dont like that way, can you check in Device Manager see if the wireless card has any error there?
