SBS2003 SMTP Authentication Required

I have setup an sbs2003 server with exchange, I configured the pop3 connector to pickup individual mails, I get this error whenever any one tries to send out email
<mail.domain.com #5.5.0 smtp;530 SMTP authentication is required.>

Hi
I think you don't have a problem with Pop3 connector, maibe you can explain a little bit on detail the config for SMTP virtual server and SMTP connector.

That is an SMTP error.
You need to check with your ISP whether they need authentication to go through their SMTP servers. They most likely do. If that is the case then you will need to adjust the SMTP Connector in Exchange System Manager to authenticate. On the properties of the SMTP Connector choose the Advanced tab and then Outbound Security. Set the authentication type to basic and enter the information your ISP needs.
