Problem accessing mails in notes7.

I have been using Notes7 in my previous project.

I got a new project and I have shifted to a new location.

I copied my original id file into c:/notes/data.

However, the id file I used is an older version, as I have changed my password many times without saving it.

I am able to login into notes using the original password.

I get into welcome page

In notes when i click on the mail icon, I get

"You are not authorized to access that database."

How do i resolve this?

If you have not had a name change, then you should not have any issues using the same ID ( or an older version ).

I would make sure that you are in island mode.

Are you sure this is the Same ID ?

Is this your Mail DB or some other database ?

WHen was the last time it was replicated ?

s it possible that you were removed from the ACL via replication with a Serer copy ?

I hope this helps !

I have resolved this.

File-> Mobile -> Edit Current Location

In basics tab: entered my email address.
In Servers tab: entered my home/mail server.
In Ports tab: Selected TCP/IP and deselected others.
In Mail tab: entered mail file.

after doing these changes when I reclicked on mail button in the welcome page

i was able to access my mails.

So I was able to access my mails from another PC without copying my mail files (id/nsf) to it.

Thanks for you help.

If you do not have the location doc set up properly, then there will definitely be issues.

It is important that the Location doc reflect all of your personal info for the bookmark Icons to work.

I thought that you were working on a Local replica of the mail, not from the server.
