Distribution group doesn't show on the GAL

I have created 2 distribution groups in Active Directory. But it has been 4 days since they were created and still don't show up in Global Address list.
They are not set to be hidden from address list.
any idea where to find these Distribution groups?

Thanks

On an outlook client, perform a send/receive all.  Now check the Folder list for a default folder called "sync issues" and see if there are any errors there.  Also, what version of exchange are you running?

When we migrated servers (because of a hardware failure) prior to upgrading to exchange 2007, we noticed that our OAB (offline address book) was still pointing to another server.  Old addresses were still appearing because of this.

Also, can you create a user and have the OAB successfully show that address (basically, is the problem isolated to the groups you created)?

check with OWA.
put the group name in the TO box and hit checkname. lets see if it resolves the name.

We just had this problem recently, added a dist group to AD, gave it an email address, NOTHING - it would not show up in GAL.  Duh, went to exchange and created an email account for this dist group, and a couple of mintues later the group showed up.  We can view it in Outlook, and select from the GAL.  At least we know the cause now.
