Microsoft Server 2003 Event 1004-IIS service won't start

Microsoft Event 1004 error -IIS service will not start. Running server 2003 and IIS 6.0.  Get error message on web page Can't find service. Restart service and still nothing.

Reporting queued error: faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.3959, faulting module webgate.dll, version, fault address 0x000476b1.

    Are you running IIS in IIS5 Compatibility Mode?

    Oblix Webgate uses a READ_RAW ISAPI notification that is only available if you are running in IIS5 compatibility mode.  If you are running in Worker Process mode it will fail.
