One of my customers is constantly downloading spyware software so I told him a good site to get software from is download.com because they preview the software to make sure it isn't spyware or infected with something else. So he goes and downloads spam fighter. It messes up the 4 e-mail accounts I just setup for him and now its extremely hard to remove the spam fighter program. I don't know whether or not I should charge him for the service he is going to get today since I did recommend download.com for software.

Greetings gsco !

Yes, you should charge customer for the service.  It is as he install software from any site and the software causes problem.  You may want to give him a discount if you feel bad about recommending download.com without qualification.

Hope this helps, war1

Thanks for the response but do you have any recommendations on uninstalling the spam fighter because apparently it is very hard.

Boot up to Safe Mode and uninstall it from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

As the impact and severity of crypto ransomware attacks has grown, Webroot fought back, not just by building a next-gen endpoint solution capable of preventing ransomware attacks but also by being a thought leader.

I'll give it a try but he already messed around with it. I just setup his computer less than a week ago and hes messed it all up already.

Uninstalled fine when I did it. I don't know what all the fuss is about it being hard.
