each visible picture (symbol1, symbol2, symbol3, symbol4) is a movie clip. <br />

open one of those movie clips from the library. there you'll see that movie clips timeline. <br />
<br />
on the layer with the tween is where the image is. it tweens up from 0%alpha to 100% alpha and then back down to 0%. <br />

in this example look at frame 15. <br />

I am trying to create a flash document when a user mouses over an image another image will appear and fade in and when they mouse off it will fade out and disappear. I have uploaded my file here <br />
