    Accepted Solution

    192.168.1.X --------------- gateway IP ---------------- 192.168.2.x

you need to assign the same gateway for both..   let say..   ------>  <---------

    mask (all)

Is your server the gateway for either/both networks? If not, try running DNS on your server, and pointing all users to your server as their primary DNS server. Although you might have a hard time getting NetBIOS name resolution across both networks, you should be able to tag the computers directly.

Lastly, in order to make this work, you will have to Bridge your two LAN segments. Right-click on your network adapters under Network Connections in the Control Panel, and click on Bridge Connections..

how many computer do you have man?   why not just buy linksys switch and configure the wan and lan to assign dhcp... do you don't have to worry about install dns, dhcp, win, bridge .. etc..   only 50$ for linksys.. maybe cheaper now..
