Office 2007 Resolution Changed by SMS Remote Tools
Runing Windows XP with Office 2007. Computer was accessed by Microsoft SMS Remote Tools and since than the resolution and look of all Office 2007 tool bars has changed to some low resolution mode. The item you notice the most is that the Office Button has lost its color and is just a black symbol. I have tried all the obvious solutions.

Tried all that, in fact nothing there had changed. Did change things and than moved them back with no effect.
Im not sure if this also resets the resolution, you might try to search the Excel12.xlb file
which is stored on: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Applic ation Data\Microsoft\Excel
try to move it to another location and restart Excel.
In the xlb file the settings of the menus are stored. When this is moved (not available) excel is creating a new one.
Hopeing this helps.

Nope. I renamed the excel12.xlb file to force Excel to create a new one and it still had the same problem.

Another remote view through SMS was done and after that was complete the resolution reverted to normal.
Good to hear you problem is solved.
