Using top on a virtual server

i have a virtual deditcated server and it is impossable to determine how much memory and CPU i am using. when you use top it shows the totals for the entire system. does anyone know how to display stats for just my virtual server?

    Its a Go Daddy Virtual dedicated server.

    Well most virtual servers will show you the total for the entire box to the operating system because it allows the resources to be shared and moved amoung all virtual machines.

    Unless your hosting provided modifies their configuration and "limits" your avaliable resources your install will continue to report the total avaliable across the board.
