Registered sign and non-breaking space characters don't show in a dynamic textfield

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to show registered sign and non-breaking space  in a dynamic text field. I tried ®, %c2%ae, and ® for registered sign.  None of them worked...

The text is coming from an external xml file and the text field is HTML enabled. ™ is displayed fine. I know Flash doesn't have many HTML codes translated.

How can I make this work?

I have done a working sample for your support.
download it here

I hope it would be clear now.

You can simply write '®' as it is in XML, just copy it from here and paste in your XML.

important is, you must also need to embed this character into your textField, using embed Fonts options in properties Panel

Thank you, Aneesh.

I tried that too, and it didn't work...
I used the Include These Characters area where I could past ®.  The Upper, Lower, Numerals, and Puctuation are already embeded too.

Did I do something wrong?

you also need to use  '®' character in XML instead of any the following:

®, %c2%ae, and ®

Thank you, Aneesh. You are great!

Your sample file is very easy to follow and it was very helpful. I think the reason why I'm facing this issue is because of the class that I'm using to load external file. I will follow your guidance and change the way I am loading the text.

Thanks much!!!
