Print String Grid

I am using Delphi 2005, in older versions of delphi quick reports was used for generating reports I cannot seem to find it on the component palette, I noticed there is a crystal report interface within the system, Is this what I would use to generate a report? If so I am trying to print a string grid object any idea how to do this?

Thanks

Jake

     Hi!

Here is a good example on how to print a StringGrid : http://www.delphitricks.com/source-code/printing/print_a_tstringgrid.html

The new reporting solution for Delphi is Rave reports.  When you installed Delphi you likely just did not install Rave (I believe it is a separate install).  Rave will let you do both programmatic reporting and visual report development.  I think in your case I would put the data into a TClientDataset and connect it to a DBGrid.  This gives you the information in a grid format while making it easy to interface with Rave's visual reporting.  You would then have the ability to visually design the report, and remove all of the custom reporting code from your main project.

If you would like more info on this, let me know.
