Citrix 4.0 Web Interface login problem

Hi,

Im having a problem with Citrix Web Interface on Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 ,the problem is that I have created a site in Citrix, i can access the site, but when i try to login im getting this message "ERROR: The supplied credentials could not be validated. Either they are incorrect, or there is a problem with the authentication system. Try again, or contact your help desk or system administrator for help"
few more details...  Im using explicit authentication, when i also turn on the pass-through authentication im getting in to a screen which telling i was logged off and and i can click to login again but if i click login it im getting the same webpage....
I also tried defining the domain in the settings of the explicit authentication and hiding the domain also with no success. all the changes i have made were done using the Citrix access suite console.

The Citrix was installed by someone who worked here before and i dont know what he did in the installation, so maybe its a issue of misconfiguration in the installation.

You may have a configuration issue with the XML service on the Citrix server, which may point to the wrong port number.  What port are you using for the XML service on the Citrix Presentation server?  If you check out the properties and Metaframe settings tab of the Citrix server(s), what is it showing?

Well i succeeded to come to a solution, the Citrix XML Service was missing and it was using IIS which was misconfigured, i installed the XML Service and configured the port and its ok now.

Thank You very much for your help.

By the way do you know if i can connect to the web interface without installing the ICA Client?  because i want users to be able to connect without additional installation of clients....

Thanks.

You could use the Java client only (uncheck the others within the Access Managment Console), or deploy the client through AD (or within an image).  The latter isn't usually an available option, as most users are probably already remote and may not be connected to the domain...

Thanks for the link jetixil.

There is a client for the web interface, the remote users can download it right from the webinterface page once they log in. Part of the webinterface install you did was the option to load the clients from the components cd. If you did that step, there is a client download option on the main page of the web interface when your users log in. If they don't already have the ica web client previosuly installed, it tells your users to download it before they can use the web interface. It downloads that active x component to the computer. There is also a java client option, but I haven't used that on in so long (since nfuse 1.6) that I am very fuzzy on it.
