Unable to connect - cannot generate SSP1 context' error message. When using Query Analyzer From Home

ISSUE: Unable to connect to a SQL Server DB server from home

when running SQL Query Analyzer, I  logged with my network login from home (as I am able to do in the office), I get 'Unable to connect - cannot generate SSP1 context' error message. Everything works fine when I am in my office but from home I get this error. Please advise.

The link seems to discuss more setting on the server end rather than the client end. Everything works fine when I'm at work but it gives me the areas I mentioned in the first post once I attention.

Try the following
Make sure that the Shared Memory protocol is enabled.
On the Client Protocols change the protocol order list to have the Shared Memory as first in the order.

Make this change on the client network protocol utility for SQL server on my laptop?
